Thunderbird team works hard behind the scenes
Although summer is a quiet time on Thunderbird's campus, it's also an important time.
Summer students prepare to graduate, Global Cohort students complete their coursework, and the newest group of T-birds gears up to begin classes on campus in the fall.
At the same time, Thunderbird's Institutional Advancement team works hard behind the scenes -- striving to meet the fundraising goals that are critical to Thunderbird's future.
June 30, 2012 marks the end of the fiscal year and Thunderbird is trying to reach its goal of 15 percent alumni giving participation. The current figure stands at 12.6 percent, meaning we greatly need your support to reach this goal.
With just three days remaining, we ask that you make a gift to Thunderbird today. A new gift of any size will have an impact on Thunderbird and bring us closer to our goal.
"We sincerely thank our alumni who have made a gift to Thunderbird," said Whitney Fulton, Assistant Vice President, Institutional Advancement. "Your gifts to the Annual Fund are a vital source of assistance for scholarships, technology, curriculum development, faculty research and alumni programs and services."
She added, "It allows us to allocate funds where those funds are most needed and keeps the core of Thunderbird alive and well."

Thunderbird to launch new Web site
Thunderbird's Marketing and IT teams have begun redesigning our Web site www.thunderbird.edu and have made exciting progress.
The primary objectives of the new site are to create brand awareness and engagement, deliver streamlined and valuable content and increase the likelihood that prospective students and executive education clients who visit the site will choose to attend Thunderbird.
Thunderbird has partnered with a highly regarded Web development firm, KWALL, to help with the process.
In the end, the goal is for Thunderbird's Web site to evolve from an encyclopedia of Thunderbird content to a streamlined engagement tool, focused on delivering strategic content to our customers and prospective students. The site is planned to launch in November, 2012.
Take a look back at Thunderbird in 1962

It's the first promotional film produced by the school - known then as the American Institute for Foreign Trade -- and was primarily used on recruiting trips.
