Same School, New Address
Thunderbird hasn’t moved, but the Glendale campus is getting a new mailing address. Street signs will go up in October designating the circle drive in front of the Herberger Administration Building as Global Place. Mail sent to Thunderbird should then be addressed to:
1 Global Place
Glendale, AZ 85306-6000
The change gives Thunderbird a more distinctive and memorable mailing address that promotes and brands the school’s global mission.
Entrepreneurship Program Especially Targeted to T-bird Alums
In the recent survey conducted by the Thunderbird Alumni Relations Office, more than 40% of T-birds indicated they are considering starting a business. To help support those efforts, Thunderbird is offering a one-day open enrollment certificate program entitled "Global Entrepreneurship: Starting Your New Venture." Scheduled for Saturday, October 11 on the Glendale campus, this program is designed and taught by Dr. Robert Hisrich, Garvin Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Walker Center for Global Entrepreneurship. He will take participants through the start of any entrepreneurial venture: how to assess the risks and landscape, write the business plan, line up funding, and create a market entry plan. This program is applicable to T-birds who are farther along in the venture, as well as those who are assessing different entrepreneurial ideas. Alumni receive a 10% discount on the cost of the program. Please click here for more information or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

On-Demand Alumni Continue their Global Adventures
Thunderbird’s On-Demand program offers a unique learning experience to working professionals pursuing an MBA. The program is taught both online and in person with Thunderbird’s top-notch faculty. Students in the On-Demand program are seasoned travelers, studying in the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia. And, as evidenced by the first cohort of On-Demand alumni, the drive to stay connected and travel the globe is still strong.
“One of our favorite parts of the Thunderbird On-Demand experience was meeting up with our classmates in different parts of the world. Learning about other cultures in the company of good friends made our experiences much more memorable,” says On-Demand I alumna Miriam Madrigal. “Because we wanted to keep in touch after graduation, we decided to plan an annual reunion with the goal of going to a different country every year. We know only a handful of people might be able to make it at a time, but we feel strongly we can keep this tradition going in the years to come.”
On-Demand I held their first annual reunion in Puerto Rico the last weekend in June. They spent time at the beach, the pool, Old San Juan and kayaking in the Bioluminescent Bay. They even touched base with other classmates via phone, text and e-mail, the same channels used during the online sessions of their program.
