Elena Chavez , Corporate Learning
Winner – Most TYGs in March

Hear the name Elena Chavez and you expect a person fluent in Spanish – not Russian, Ukranian, German, and English. But that’s not unusual for a CL staff member who loves to travel and study foreign languages (is Spanish on the “to do” list?). Skilled in translation and interpretation, Elena is ideally suited to her job. She was recognized by colleagues for her professionalism, her pro-active, calm, can-do attitude and flawless execution in support of very stressful projects.

Kymberlee Naugle, Communications
Winner, March Random Drawing

Tiny Dynamo is the perfect descriptor for Kymberlee, a five foot tall bundle of organizational energy. Arriving at Thunderbird just in time to plunge headlong into the 2008 Alumni Homecoming, this Arizona native and NAU grad with the beaming smile was thanked for making Homecoming an outstanding experience for our alums. The TPEC conference came next. No sweat! She had it covered! Engaged to be married in May, Kymberlee will honeymoon in Mexico, but dreams of traveling much farther.

Kim Steinmetz , Marketing
Winner, Quarterly Random Drawing

Have you noticed a major uptick in Thunderbird branding? Clues point directly at Kim’s creative skills, gained through her work at Disney, ABC, and Gannet. Wait! Disney? Yes! It’s true, Kim is BFF with Mickey, Goofy, Daffy…. No wonder she fits in so well at Thunderbird! Kidding aside, Kim’s expertise has been critical to moving school branding initiatives to the next level. She was recognized in February for organizing a new, improved and much needed image library for Thunderbird.
