TOEFL, IELTS or PTE test scores
Thunderbird accepts English proficiency test scores from the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE exams. Scores must be submitted directly to Thunderbird from the exam administrator.
The required minimum TOEFL scores for admissions consideration are as follows. These scores are for the internet-based TOEFL exam:
Any full-time degree program – minimum 80
Online MBA – minimum 100
Distance Learning Global MBA for Latin American Managers – minimum 79
For full-time degree candidates: If your TOEFL (or equivalent IELTS or PTE) test score falls between 80-99, additional English training is required. You will be asked to take Thunderbird’s Business English Communications class(es) prior to beginning your degree. See the “Language Proficiency” section under your degree program for details.
