Half of Thunderbird's full-time students are from outside the United States. All share a substantial background of international work, travel and education experience that enriches and complements the global nature of the program. (This past year matriculating students came from 50 countries and had lived and worked in multiple international locations.)

At an average age of 28, full-time students bring with them up to 26 years experience in a broad range of jobs including veteran bankers, geologists, entrepreneurs, marketing managers, computer engineers, lawyers, Peace Corps volunteers, even journalists.
