Katherine Hutton is the Managing Director of the Walker Center for Global Entrepreneurship. She is responsible for managing and adminstering the Center's non-academic programs.

Her professional background includes a 20-year career in Economic Development most recently as the Director of Economic Vitality for the City of Scottsdale, Arizona. Throughout her career she worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs and managed programmatic efforts with large and small businesses. Over the course of her career Ms. Hutton was engaged in public policy development, public infrastructure development, and strategic planning. She also recruited numerous businesses to communities in Arizona.

Ms. Hutton is a Certified Economic Developer as designated by the International Economic Development Council and a graduate of Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. She has been published in the IEDC Economic Development Journal and was awarded Economic Developer of the Year for Arizona in 2006. Ms. Hutton earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona and her Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University. Ms. Hutton is also involved in a number of civic and professional organizations in the metropolitan Phoenix area.
