Lori Murphree has been 10 years banking experience, primarily focused on technology/media M&A and private capital raise. She spent 5 years with Silicon Valley Bank (SVB Alliant, investment banking arm), and also spent time with the Grant Thornton Corporate Advisory Team in the UK and Results International, a small boutique investment bank in the UK. She has built a strong expertise in digital media and the convergence between media and technology. Previous to her banking career, Lori spent 5 years in operational and strategic roles within midmarket companies. Lori has an MBA from Thunderbird (2001) and a Bachelor's from California State University, Chico.

As an Investment Representative within the Private Investment Management Division of Lehman Brothers, Hunter and his team support ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices throughout the world. Within the team his role focuses on business development and research and trading coverage for their US-Based clients. In addition, Hunter works closely with the Wealth and Portfolio Strategy Group to tailor specific tactical asset allocation models and the Capital Advisory Group to offer middle market banking and corporate and executive services for select clients.
Formerly, Hunter worked in management consulting in Chile with Puente Sur and in Russia through Thunderbird's Corporate Consulting Program. While in Chile, he developed market-entry and expansion reports to international clients. He also provided clients with market research, pro forma financial analysis and sales projects as well as import assistance and information on outsourcing. In Russia, Hunter created comprehensive statistical models and conducted in-person market research for American Express. Hunter's substantial international experience also includes three years working in Hong Kong for Euromoney Publications as a project manager, Venture Asia Publishing as the regional advertising manager and most recently with Reed Elsevier plc group as a regional sales manager. Prior to his consulting and sales positions, Hunter held intern positions at Morgan Stanley and M&T Bank working in wealth management.
In addition to serving as the Chair of the New York Forums of the Thunderbird Private Equity Center, Hunter is on the steering committee of the Lehman Brothers Disability Working Forum and an Associate Director and member of the investment committee for a private foundation focusing on the arts, the environment and learning disabilities. Hunter graduated from the University of Denver with a BS in Business Administration and holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He has completed his Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
Amy Wilson (T-bird '03)

Amy Wilson was most recently a Consultant at Goldman Sachs in a Strategy and Technologies group supporting the Internal Audit division. Prior to that, Ms. Wilson was a Marketing and Investor Relations Associate at NCH Capital, an alternative asset manager with funds consisting of private equity, real estate, publicly traded equity and fixed income investments in Russia, select countries of the former Soviet Union & Eastern Europe.
Before transitioning to the financial services industry, Ms. Wilson spent eight years in the media and entertainment industry. She began her career as a Media Buyer managing the relationship with Dunkin’ Donuts followed by work in media buying, planning and business development in the US Hispanic market. She then went on to work as a Production Assistant on the Ru-Paul Show at VH-1.
After working in television production, Ms. Wilson spent three years selling online advertising at BroadPoint Communications, a start-up technology marketing communications company and Sabre, a technology services provider to the travel industry, where she was opened the New York office. At both organizations, she was instrumental in building out the national sales teams.
Ms. Wilson holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Delaware and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Anna is the founder and managing partner of Eurasian Investments LLC, a consulting company that focuses on investments between Russia and the United States.
Anna’s professional background is business and international law. She served as in-house corporate counsel for several state-owned enterprises in her native Russia and took them through privatization process. She was among the first generation of Russian lawyers that worked with foreign direct investments. She taught business, environmental law and consumers’ right at the Urals State University of Economics before she moved to the United States.
Anna holds her law degree with focus on business law from Urals State Legal Academy, and Masters of International Law and Business (LL.M) from the University of Arizona and is admitted to practice in U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. District Court, District of Arizona, Supreme Court, State of Arizona.
Anna is passionate about her cross-cultural work with investors and start-up companies. She strongly believes that success of joint ventures largely depends on parties’ ability to communicate and working together through their differences. A certified mediator and dispute resolution consultant, she is currently developing her global negotiation and conflict management practice that will serve investment community in creating better relationships world-wide.
Recent graduate of Thunderbird Executive MBA program, Anna resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and leads her teams in the Urals Region, Russia and the U.S.
James Craig (T-bird '93)
Jamie Craig was recruited by the founder of AIB to lead the Agency In a Box concept as the President and CEO of AIB Group, LLC. Under Craig's management, AIB negotiated an exclusive long term national agreement to build and operate Agency in a Box in any of the over 3,000 Advanced Auto Parts locations across the country. He has been chiefly responsible for the deployment and management of the 53 pilot locations throughout Virginia, creating in excess of $8 million in new revenues in two years. AIB was acquired by Nationwide in December 2006. Since then Craig has served as a consultant to Nationwide and several other companies in the DC metro area.
Prior to his leadership of AIB, Jamie worked as an international financial consultant, where he helped his clients develop and expand new market and distribution channels in Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Craig has worked in over 30 countries, serving as a consultant to C-level officers as well as local management in the international post, telephone and telegraph companies. His work has included both strategic and financial assignments as well as business development. His clients have included A&T and Lucent as well as several other international commodity and investment firms.
Before graduating from Thunderbird in 1993, Craig joined Dominion Bancshares, now Wachovia, in Roanoke, VA. In four years, and after a series of promotions--from Real Estate Associate to Regional Manager, Craig left for Thunderbird.
Craig and his wife Anne presently reside in Falls Church with their children.

Dan is a visionary social entrepreneur who builds sustainable businesses in developing economies. He understands innovative technologies and viable management strategies.
Currently, he is Chief Strategy Officer at Silicon Garage LLC, a software company, and President of MacroEcoEnergy LLC, an alternative energy consulting firm.
Dan’s twenty-six years of experience in the public and private sector bring a unique understanding of consortium development and business solutions to the developing world. In the private sector Dan built divisions for Bogner and DeLong, expanded international distribution networks for Coach and Apex One and founded his own apparel/design company. In academia, Dan was Executive Director for Dr. Jeffrey Sachs at the Earth Institute, constructing a dynamic global organization that grew from $79 to more than $93 million, included creation of centers and programs for Sustainable Development, Global Health and Environmental Science & Policy. Dan also directed the openings of the first overseas offices in Africa and Asia. At Arizona State University Dan was Director for MacroTechnology Works creating public/private partnerships globally, including partners such as GE Healthcare, Honeywell International, General Dynamics and Raytheon.
He holds an Master of Healthcare Innovation from Arizona State University (2008), an MBA, Finance / International Business, from New York University Stern School of Business (1989) and a BA, Economics / English, from Columbia University (1984). He is currently board member of BioSense International and previously held board positions at Advanced Motion Measurement (2007-10) and Sara Lee GmbH (1991-92). Dan speaks fluent German and conversational Mandarin Chinese & French.
Robert Dragoo (T-bird '11)

Robert Dragoo is a real estate investment professional that has worked in private equity and real estate investment and development in the US and Mexico and consulted for resort and investment and development groups in Latin America.
Robert, and his brother, started a real estate investment private equity group to invest in retail projects in Mexico, with tenants such as Wal-Mart and Home Depot. In Mexico City, Robert also was a real estate consultant specializing in the evaluation of resort and condominium projects for such companies as the Mayan Group and Citi Property Investors. Previously, Robert worked with a real estate focused private equity group in Arizona, the Aspen Group, and worked on deal sourcing, acquisitions, and dispositions. Prior to working at Aspen, Robert was a commercial loan officer at a regional bank in Arizona.
Robert graduated from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University with a BA in Finance and is pursuing his MBA at Thunderbird focused in Finance.
Tavy Long (T-bird '10)

Tavy Long is currently pursuing her MBA degree with emphasis on management and finance at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. While at Thunderbird, she is involved with student government, professional clubs, and mentoring. She has studied in Prague, Czech Republic and in Beijing, China. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University with a major in finance, a minor in Japanese, and an international business certificate. Her interests in the Japanese language, culture and people led her to study abroad at Hiroshima Shudo Daigaku for a summer.
Tavy has four years of work experience in the financial sector prior to joining Thunderbird. She worked for Edward Jones for three years as a Fixed Income trader and for an international law firm in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for about one year as an Administration & Finance manager. She has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and is comfortable working in ambiguous environments, which is often the case in most emerging markets.
Upon graduating from Thunderbird she hopes to pursue a career in Southeast Asia while maintaining her involvement with AIESEC in Cambodia, a global youth leadership development organization.

Magda Safrina

Magda Safrina is a co-founder of Auxesia Indonesia. She focuses on Auxesia’s business development in Indonesia, Southeast Asia largest economy. Her works includes sourcing best investment opportunities and aligning Auxesia’s entrance to private equity market in Indonesia.
Prior joining Auxesia, Magda was a business director at Pinpoint Publication, Indonesia’s leading publication group. She received Fulbright Scholarship Award in 2008 and earned her MBA in International Business and Economics from International Business School at Brandeis University, USA. During her study at Brandeis, she did teaching and research assistance for Professor Catherine Mann, a senior professor at Brandeis University, also a former Federal Reserve Board of Governors and the President's Council of Economic Advisers at the White House

Matt Herricks is a student in the Thunderbird MBA program and is also a candidate in the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analyst program. He is currently working for Endeavor Global, Inc. as an eMBA Associate, raising capital for a High-Impact Entrepreneur in Monterrey, Mexico, assisting with the formulation of the investor outreach strategy.
Since becoming a student at Thunderbird in 2009, Matt worked as a Private Equity Summer Associate for Master Minds, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to help them raise capital for their invested companies. He completed analysis for fundraising, including initial due diligence and financial model development, to a premium brand sales and marketing company, SurianaTrademasters, for co-investment with Master Minds.
Prior to Thunderbird, Matt managed the South American division for world’s leading manufacturer of commercial laundry solutions serving clients and investors from the commercial, institutional, and consumer markets. In his role as Area Sales Manager-Latin America, he oversaw the relationships with clients and the expansion into new markets.
Matt earned a double major in International Relations and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Amit in his 11 years of work experience has the distinction of successfully traversing varied roles across the financial industry. This has given him cross skills vital to his current assignment as the Head of Fund of Funds business at ICICI Bank Limited. A large part of Amit’s experience has been in the areas of Private Equity, Investment banking, Asset management and Private Banking.
Amit joined ICICI Bank Limited in March 2005 and became a key part of its International Banking Group at a time when it was the key focus area for the bank. He has played several pioneering roles to build up its business streams where he set up its equity desk for global and private banking investors, its offshore investment management company. He also started the investment banking practice for private banking and global institutions. In his present profile he heads the Fund of Funds platform.
Prior to this, Amit worked for five years with Birla Sun Life group on various assignments. Some of the key assignments include providing appropriate treasury solutions to corporate clients for debt and equity linked products, part of the core team to form the firm’s Alternate Channels division as well as conceptualizing and implementing its electronic broking solution and distribution network across India. During his three years of articleship while doing his Chartered Accountancy, he was working on full-time assignments geared towards financial consulting to several large and reputed organizations
Amit is a Chartered Accountant and an Executive MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai. He has attended several training programs including a course on Private Equity & Venture Capital at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Alan Giebel was most recently CEO of Mikoishi (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd., a Singapore based mobile and hand held development studio. Mikoishi has won a number of awards designing globally distributed gaming products including, Star Wars Battlefront mobile in cooperation with THQ and Lucas Films and a number of Capcom mobile titles including Super Puzzle Fighter II and Phoenix Wright.
Prior to joining Mikoishi, Alan set up and managed THQ Wireless' business in Asia serving as Business Development Director, Asia. During his 2 ½ years of work with THQ he was instrumental in building out distribution channels around the region. Key achievements include a THQ investment in a Chinese partner as well as building key channels in Korea and other parts of the region.
Before joining THQ, Alan held a number of senior positions including Senior VP of Asia Pacific and Senior VP of Development for Riot Entertainment Ltd. (Riot-e). Riot-e was a pioneer in the wireless entertainment industry introducing a number of branded wireless entertainment products (X-men, Lord of the Rings, Bridget Jones Diary etc) into more that 25 operators worldwide.
Alan spent nine years with AT&T / Lucent Technologies before his time at Riot-e. The main focus of his time at Lucent Technologies was the building revenue streams and developing and supporting sales teams.
Alan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington (Seattle, WA USA) and a Masters of Business Administration in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management, now known as Thunderbird School of Global Management (Glendale, AZ USA).

Amit Mathur is currently the director of Sales Engineering for Vignette Asia, a leading provider of enterprise software. Amit is responsible for presales, training, support, and partner enablement for Asia. As part of his role, he interacts on business and technical strategy and implementation with customers throughout the region, including Cathay Pacific, MediaCorp, Starhub, Singapore Press Holdings, South China Morning Post, Kasikorn Bank and Citibank Asia. He also speaks at industry conferences on topics including Knowledge Management, Governance, Mobile Content, and Services Oriented Architecture. Prior to working with Vignette Asia, Amit was Managing Principal for Vignette's team of 30+ consultants and Fortune 500 customers in New York City. Amit was responsible for the internet, intranet, and extranet initiatives of customers including JP Morgan Chase, MetLife, Fidelity Investments, Sony Music, and Cablevision. As part of these initiatives he designed and delivered multiple award-winning projects, including receiving an Emmy Award.
In his previous position Amit worked in the intrapreneurship arm of Bertelsmann AG, an international media conglomerate that includes Gruner + Jahr and Random House publishers, BMG Music and Direct Group media clubs. Amit was involved in the creation of an internal incubator, the initial rollout of Bertelsmann Online and the overall internet strategy for the Bertelsmann group of companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering from the University of Windsor (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) and a Masters of Business Administration in International Management (with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Asian Studies) from Thunderbird School of Global Management (Glendale, Arizona, USA).

Sua is an MBA graduate from Thunderbird School of Global Management Class of 2011 with Global Finance focus. During his time there, Sua spent his summer internship in Shanghai, China doing business development with Capvision Partners. He initiated and led a team delivering a proof of concept on a service portfolio extension utilizing Capvision's existing expert network infrastructure for long-term consulting engagements. Prior to Capvision Partners, Sua worked at Merlin Capital Advisory in Bangkok, specializing in cross border M&A. Sua performed investment banking activities across multiple industries including due diligence, developing professional Marketing collateral, and pre-transaction investor relations. Aside from quantitative analysis, Sua served as the catalyst for initiating several real estate, energy, media, and consumer goods M&A transactions. Sua also originated and led one of the largest property acquisition projects in Bangkok, valued at approximately 1 billion USD. Sua earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer System Engineering from Boston University. Sua has completed advanced training in Asian Private Equity Investment from the Asian Institute of Private Equity Investment.

Loan Ma is currently Chairperson and Chief Executive of Auxesia Holdings, a private investment advisory serving Southeast Asia. She answers international investors’ demand for high growth opportunities by facilitating private equity deals with companies in Vietnam and other emerging markets.
Loan gained entrepreneurial experience in real estate. As Managing Partner of a Ho Chi Minh real estate company, she developed that company’s buy-side and sell-side investment strategies. The position required Loan to develop a close professional network of government officials in various agencies with whom she maintains a strong working relationship today.
Loan served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer for a privately held manufacturing company, with management responsibility for the company’s capital structure, financial forecasting, and budgets. With the ability to take a hands-on lead position, Loan directed the company through a strategic financial restructuring. She developed, implemented, and maintained a comprehensive cost control system, lowered the company’s cost of capital, and enhanced the company’s long-term financial prospects: attracting international investment and preparing the company for an initial public offering.
Previously, she worked as a securities broker at the Bank of Investment and Development Vietnam. A self-made, successful trader on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, Loan has experience in the Vietnam Public Market spans both boom and bust.
Loan holds a B.S. in economics from Banking University in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, an active Thunderbird Private Equity Center Asia Co-chair, Loan co-organized the 2010 Southeast Asian Private Equity Investing Conference in Viet Nam.
Ryan Galloway (T-bird '10)

Ryan is a co-founder and the Managing Director for Auxesia Holdings US. Ryan consults on strategic and leadership, development, foreign capital sourcing, and corporate structure and governance. His experience in law lends itself to more heavily regulated industries, including energy, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, and finance.
Prior to Auxesia, Ryan successfully facilitated direct investment in the US cleantech industry and fund-to-fund transactions in private equity. While at Hill & Kehne, an environmental law practice in Washington DC, Ryan contributed to motion practice in a successful, multi-million dollar litigation versus the State of New Jersey EPA. During his time at Osaka International Law Office, Ryan negotiated international securities transactions with one of the United States' largest insurance companies. Ryan also externed for the Hon. Donald C. Nugent at the Federal District Court of Northern Ohio. Ryan speaks conversational Japanese.

Based in Europe for the past 30 years, John Cook has held senior positions in business development, marketing, finance and asset management. He began his career in Brussels with International Harvester as Assistant Marketing Director covering the Middle East. He then spent two years with Univestors S.A., a multi-family office serving the needs of private European investors; ten years with Merrill Lynch International as Senior Financial Consultant covering institutional and private clients; and two years with Security Pacific Merchant Bank in Frankfurt as Director of Business Development for Northern Europe. In 1995 he co-founded W.J. Hopper & Co Ltd, a London-based boutique investment bank focused on private placements for global alternative assets, and in 2001 co-founded ACS Venture Capital Partners in Vienna. In 2009 he formed Rock Lake Associates based in Zug, Switzerland, focused on private placements and advisory services for private equity, venture capital, hedge funds and real estate.
John has been an alumni leader for Thunderbird for over 30 years. During the 1980-1990 period he co-founded and chaired the European Alumni Association and co-founded the Thunderbird Alumni Association. In 2003 he was awarded the Jonas Mayer Award and invited to join the president’s Thunderbird Global Council. In 2004 he founded the Thunderbird Private Equity Center and served as its Chairman until being nominated Chairman Emeritus in 2009. John has a BSIM summa-cum-laude in Industrial Management (1974) from the Krannert School at Purdue University, and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management (1979). He is married and has one daughter attending Zurich International School.
