Improving the global leadership performance of global managers by enhancing their profile of global mindset. |
Thunderbird's Global Mindset Institute develops managers' ability to address challenges facing today's global organizations:
Global corporations need managers, leaders, and employees who can influence people from other cultural backgrounds. Global mindset is a set of individual attributes that helps global managers succeed in their global environments.
Based on interviews with over 200 global executives and a survey of over 6,500 individuals in many countries, a team of 8 Thunderbird professors have scientifically developed the concept of global mindset. The chart below shows the three major dimensions of global mindset (Intellectual Capital, Psychological capital, and Social Capital), along with their specific attributes.

Prior to the program, the participants will be invited to complete The Thunderbird Global Mindset Inventory (TGMI), a scientifically designed internet based instrument that identifies a manager’s, and a group’s profile of global mindset. During the program, they will receive their individual confidential feedback report and, individually, and in groups, will develop action plans for enhancing their profile of global mindset.
