Thunderbird Global Mindset® Inventory
Certification Programs
You can become “certified” to administer and debrief the TGMI by enrolling in a certification program taught by one of Thunderbird’s Global Mindset Leadership Institute’s core faculty. The program covers:
- The relevance of global mindset as a competency of global leadership; the need for companies with global ambitions to have a “high stock” of global mindset.
- The research that led to the definition of global mindset and its nine dimensions that cluster into intellectual, psychological and social capitals.
- The research and test construction methodology used to build the Thunderbird Global Mindset Inventory as a measure of global mindset.
- A debrief of your own scores on the TGMI. You will complete the TGMI online, before arriving for the program.
- A detailed explanation of the format of the Global Mindset Feedback Report, including how to interpret the scores for others.
- Insights on how to develop global mindset.
- Guidance on how to lead a TGMI debrief session with groups of individuals who are receiving their feedback reports, e.g. sample powerpoints, timing of the session, probes and questions to pose.
Upon completion of the program, participants will receive:
- An “Award of Certification” on the TGMI which authorizes you to administer the TGMI, via Thunderbird’s hosting platform and to lead TGMI feedback sessions.
- One hour of free consultation with one of Thunderbird’s certified faculty anytime before you conduct your first feedback session.
There are two versions of the TGMI certification program:
- The self-assessment, only, version of the TGMI - One day; $1,500 per person
- The 360 version, including self-assessment, version - One and-a-half days; $2,500 per person
