With the globalization of business and a consumer base that no longer remains within any single organizational or cultural border, successful marketing requires an intimate understanding of the intricacies of an international marketplace where cultural preferences and norms can be both subtle and substantial. Curriculum details & requirements
Mandatory 1-week course emphacizing key aspects of leadership, team building, motivation, ethics and cross-cultural communication, during which you join a learning group to meet and work with your peers from around the world. Self-assessment tools and career-management strategies also covered.
These 2-3 week on-location courses allow you to examine management issues and challenges up close through a cultural and global lens, giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge in an international setting. Winterims take place in January; summerims take place in May.

To graduate, you must demonstrate proficiency in a second language. This can be achieved by entering the program already proficient in a second language and passing a proficiency exam, or by taking a language course at Thunderbird. MS in Global Marketing students are encouraged to meet this requirement by taking an immersive summer language program abroad prior to beginning the degree program.
