A U.S. $300 housing deposit is required for all students applying to live on campus. This deposit is used to cover any damages or extraordinary wear on rooms and furnishings. It is refundable, provided you cancel your housing application (or defer it to another trimester) at least 30 days before the opening of residence halls in the trimester for which you applied.
There is no deadline for housing applications. Your application will be processed as soon as the Housing Office receives your housing deposit.
The Housing Office makes room assignments based on the date it receives your housing deposit, according to the following priority schedule:
This prioritization schedule is used when on-campus housing becomes limited. You will be notified of housing availability 45 days before the opening of the residence halls for the trimester for which you applied. In cases where no on-campus housing is available, the Housing Office offers assistance in locating off-campus housing.
Early arrival is permitted if space is available. You must notify the Housing Services Office of your exact date of arrival. If early arrival cannot be accommodated in the residence halls, you may contact the Thunderbird Executive Inn, or see our List of Hotels. If you are remaining on campus from one trimester to another and you plan to remain in the same room, you may occupy your room during the break for no additional charge.
