Julien Villa-Massone '08/'09, France

With an MS in engineering, Julien Villa-Massone says he wasn’t content with simply building things. He realized, to have a real impact on bringing sustainable energy to the world, he needed to work in business. That’s why he enrolled in Thunderbird’s MS in Global Management program - and, as soon as he had that degree under his belt, moved right into the school's MBA program.

Muniza Hassan '08, United States

Growing up in a Pakistani home within the predominantly Caucasian town of Katy, Texas, Muniza Hassan '08 says she became aware of her cultural differences at an early age. That realization, she says, shaped her outlook on the world. "I've always had an inclination to learn about different cultures, languages and especially religions," she says. And, ultimately, her global mindset brought her to Thunderbird.

Alice Peng '08, Taiwan

When Alice Peng ’08 says she applied scientific principles to the study of business, she’s not tossing around creative corporate jargon. She’s stating the facts. “Science has a straight way of thinking,” says Peng, who earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Pepperdine University before enrolling in Thunderbird’s Master of Science program. “In science, everything has to follow logic. I definitely integrated this scientific way of thinking into my current studies.”
