Thunderbird Preview Events

For most prospective students, it takes just one visit to the Thunderbird campus to know they've found their academic and cultural home. Our Thunderbird 360° Preview Weekends and ThunderDay events give you the opportunity to experience Thunderbird first-hand - and discover for yourself what T-birds fondly refer to as the "Thunderbird mystique."

Your on-campus experience includes an optional interview with Admissions – conducted on Friday – followed by an official welcome and reception on Friday evening (not available during ThunderDay). A full range of activities are scheduled for Saturday, with ample opportunities for interaction with staff, faculty and current students.

Activities include:

  • An overview of Thunderbird's various degree programs and the school's unique global curriculum, which combines international management, international studies and cross-cultural communications
  • A panel discussion presented by members of the current student body (not available during ThunderDay)
  • A detailed discussion of Thunderbird Global Experiences, internship opportunities and campus life, including family life
  • A case presentation by a Thunderbird faculty member
  • A campus tour
  • A Career Management Center presentation
  • Lunch with faculty and staff
  • A signature Thunderbird Regional Night hosted by current students and featuring the food, drink and culture from a particular region of the world
 
Thunderbird 360° Preview Weekend
ThunderDay
Travel, Housing and Meals Participants are responsible for travel to and from the Thunderbird campus.

Housing for you and your guests is provided by Thunderbird at no cost to you on Friday and Saturday nights. (Rooms are available on a first-come-first-serve basis)

Appetizers provided on Friday evening and all meals are provided on Saturday.		 Participants are responsible for travel to and from the Thunderbird campus.

Housing for you and your guests is provided by Thunderbird at no cost to you on Saturday night. (Rooms are available on a first-come-first-serve basis)

Meals are provided all day Saturday and Sunday morning.

Although attendance at all portions of the events are not mandatory, we do advise that you attend as many sessions as possible. Preview Weekends and ThunderDays are offered at different times of the year. Either one is a good option to learn about Thunderbird. Pick one that best suits your schedule!
