How to apply
- The completed online application, including:
- Personal information form
- Employment history form
- Educational/professional history form
- Organizational sponsorship form
- Three personal essays
- Applicant’s agreement form
- Two or more evaluation forms (submitted via the online system)
- One copy of official transcript from all colleges or universities you attended.
- GMAT scores where applicable (Thunderbird’s code for reporting scores is 4003).
- English language scores where applicable.
- A non-refundable $125 application fee.
Application Essays
The following three essays will be required of you in the application process. You will submit your application electronically, once these essays are completed. Each essay should be approximately one page (500 words) in length.
- Essay #1
Discuss your professional objectives, both short- and long-term, and indicate how your past experiences have led you to your present goals. Why do you want to pursue a graduate management degree at this point in your career? For what reasons are you seeking to study in a program which emphasizes a global context?
- Essay #2
What current or historical leader do you most respect and why? From what aspects of this leader's philosphy and style do you take inspiration? In what ways can an MBA in Global Management enhance your own individual leadership potential as you aspire to higher levels within the management field?
- Essay #3
There are many significant ethical dilemmas currently facing the global business community as the dynamics of globalization grow in pace and in complexity. Select one aspect about which you are passionate (Free Trade, Human Rights, the Environment, Banking Secrecy, Labor, Migration, or another that you choose) and identify the ethical challenges. Are there differences in ethical standards by region, and how does this impact the issues at hand? How can individual companies and managers act ethically in support of global standards, and where do boundaries of responsibility lie (in the specific topic you chose)?
