Funding Options for International Students

Thunderbird does not have formal agreements regarding the loans or scholarships presented below. Each candidate should assess whether the source of funding suits his or her needs.

Funding Options for International Students

Participants should consider multiple funding options such as company sponsorship, government or private loans, or personal savings and investments. Due to deadlines established by many educational lenders one must research the exact amount required after factoring in personal and company support and getting started early to ensure a smooth application.

Opportunities in Your Own Country

Some countries allow you to offset course fees and/or living expenses against income tax, which considerably reduces the cost. This usually means that course fees have to be paid in the same year that you earn taxable income. We recommend that you investigate such options within your own country of origin. It is best to speak with a tax advisor or national tax office regarding the possibility.
