Violence flared in Afghanistan on the night Ilaha Eli Omar ’12 was born and has continued ever since, but she still dreams of peace for the women of her homeland. In fact, part of her passion for pursuing an MBA at Thunderbird is directly related to that dream. "It is my responsibility to take everything I have learned and pass it back to Afghanistan," says the Distance Learning Global MBA student. "This school is perfect for what I want to attain."

As a contracts negotiation specialist for The Boeing Co. in Seattle, Chan Roeun Mak ’12 is involved in international business every day - spending her time collaborating across teams and cultures, and traveling abroad or hosting her international clients in Washington. A self-proclaimed "go-getter," Mak wanted an MBA program that would broaden her global business skills without interrupting her job at Boeing - and she found it at Thunderbird.
