“I wanted to be a Thunderbird from the time I graduated from UW Oshkosk. But I didn’t want to move,” says Maureen Leber, customs and trade compliance manager with Japanese pharmaceutical company, Takeda. “When I learned about Thunderbird’s Distance Learning MBA, I couldn’t believe I’d have the chance.” Thunderbird, she says, didn’t disappoint - adding that the flexibility of the program was one of the greatest gifts she could ever have received.

David Naber '08
After a devastating injury crushed his pro-baseball dreams, David Naber decided to pursue his other passion — international business. Interested in the Spanish language since he was in grade school, Naber switched gears with ease to move from the baseball diamond to the boardroom. And the choice has been a home run, allowing him to rise in the ranks of Black and Decker over the years, even while earning his MBA.

Ekaterina Walter's self-described workaholic tendencies began even before she landed her first full-time position. Instead of earning one bachelor's degree in business administration, she earned two - one on the heels of the other. And she didn't stop there. Juggling a demanding, full-time job she took on Thunderbird's Global MBA On-Demand program - pursuing her passion for global business.
