1. What is the Web-based Post MBA program?

Answer. It is an online Masters of Global Management Degree program with a global focus offered by Thunderbird School of Global Management. The program is designed to complement and enhance your existing MBA and to prepare you for greater success in a competitive, dynamic global business environment. Students access 60% of their coursework via the Internet and 40% in face-to-face on-site international seminars. As a result, you can maintain your current situation (employment, family, home location) while pursuing a first-rate international management education.

2. What is Thunderbird?

Answer. Thunderbird School of Global Management is the world's premier school of international business. It is a private school for professionals destined to be leaders in the global arenas of business, government and not-for-profit.

3. How are classes conducted?

Answer. 60% of the coursework is delivered through the Internet education portal, My Thunderbird, and 40% of the coursework is delivered face-to-face. Students may access their distance learning classes at any location with Internet access, at times that work best for them. Students may also do research, group work and meet with professors online through the My Thunderbird portal. Students begin and conclude their program with weeklong seminars at the Thunderbird Campus in Glendale, Arizona. Students also attend two international seminars held on-site in cities like Geneva, Switzerland, Santiago, Chile and Beijing, China.

Answer. Each member of the faculty is a Ph.D., with significant real-world, multinational expertise. They are the very same distinguished faculty members who teach the full-time and executive MBA programs.

5. Who should apply?

Answer. The Web-based Post MBA program is designed for high potential individuals around the world who want an outstanding international business education, but who cannot study full-time because of current job or family obligations. The program is best suited for people who aspire to be managers or directors.

6. How long does it take to complete the program?

Answer. The Web-based Post MBA is a 15 to 19-month program. The degree involves 30 credit hours of study delivered in 4.5 - 7.5 credit hour segments per term.

7. When are classes held?

Answer. Each term is 14-weeks long. There are four terms. Each class involves lectures, teamwork and reading assignments. Within a time frame established by the professor, students choose their time and place to study and interact in class projects.

8. What is included in the Web-based Post MBA curriculum?

Answer. Courses cover basic and advanced global business topics, cross-cultural negotiation and communications and a wide variety of globally-focused issues. It is a lock-step curriculum, in which students progress together through the program, taking courses in a prescribed sequence. A student who must withdraw from a class for any reason, may resume their studies with the next group that enters the program.

9. Are classes taught in English?

Answer. Yes. Applicants who did not graduate from an English-speaking university must achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 600 (paper-based), 100 (Internet-based) or 250 (computer-based). As an alternative, applicants can also take the IELTS test and achieve a 8.0 or higher.

10. What is tuition for this program?

Answer. Tuition for the 2009 - 20010 program is U.S. $42,800. Tuition includes 14-15 courses; course materials (text books, case studies, readings); two seminars in Glendale, Ariz. (on-campus single room, meals and activities); two International Seminars (hotel double occupancy, some meals, corporate visits and cultural activities); and graduation attire. It does not include the cost of a personal Internet connection, computer, and software costs. Please contact us for the most current costs. Due to the worldwide locations and varying travel preferences of students, airfare to and from seminar locations is the responsibility of each student.
