Professor André Klein is an Associate Professor of French in the Garvin Center for Language & Culture at Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Professor Klein has taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes at Thunderbird since the fall of 1972. He was instrumental in bringing “SCOLA” to the Thunderbird campus in 1989. He continues to incorporate multimedia as well as the Internet, in the classroom. He obtained his M.A. from New York University in 1971. He also completed 60 additional graduate credits towards a Ph.D. in French literature from the City University of New York, before coming to Thunderbird.
Professor Klein co-authored eight pedagogical newsletters entitled “MINITEL, la b.d. du prof” on how to best integrate the French videotext system in the classroom. He directed Thunderbird’s 1989 summer Paris program and co-directed Thunderbird’s summer Paris program, in 1992.
He is presently a third year member of the Personnel committee of the Department of Modern Languages and is on the editorial board of The Journal of Languages for International Business.
