Sample Curriculum

With the insight and input of advisory board members from each partner organization, the curriculum delivered during each two-week Thunderbird International Consortium (TIC) allows participants to learn about global management, using a variety of interactive methods:

  • Small group discussions
  • Brainstorming sessions
  • Individual leadership instruction
  • Thought-provoking case study reviews
  • Negotiation simulations and personal planning exercises
  • Leadership style assessment tools/surveys

Frequently discussed topics

Although TIC curriculum includes global business topics based on the specific needs of participating companies and can vary from consortium to consortium, frequently discussed topics have included:

Advisory boards comprised of executives from participating Consortia companies and Thunderbird faculty determine specific program details/curriculum, which are regularly reviewed and critiqued.

Small group discussions are held before each session, as well as regularly scheduled breaks and meals. Evenings are reserved for individual preparation and company team projects.
