Think Strategically to Support Global Initiatives

The purpose of this course is to encourage you to think strategically, from a leadership perspective, about undertaking new global initiatives. It explains the strategic planning process and defines the global organization. It addresses the decision-making process that supports the questions of whether, and how, to enter or expand into the global marketplace. This course also presents structural alternatives for a global organization, and it addresses leading the global transition.

  • Describe the strategic planning process and how it supports global initiatives
  • Describe the key drivers of globalization
  • Identify potential benefits and risks associated with entering the global marketplace
  • Describe structural alternatives for a global organization

  • Explain the role of government in industry globalization initiatives
  • Determine how to plan to lead a transition to become a global organization
