China
- Thunderbird and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business are collaborating in the development of joint executive education programs that will leverage both institutions’ expertise in global management. One such certificate program under current development will blend Thunderbird’s Communicating and Negotiating with a Global Mindset program with Cheung Kong’s “China from the Inside” program to offer a powerful hands-on international experience with components held both in the United States and China.
- Thunderbird Professor Mary Teagarden consults regularly with service and technology-intensive manufacturing firms and governments in China, as well as with the government of the People’s Republic of China. Serving on the advisory board of China Strategic Development Partners (a consulting firm), and Huawei, a Chinese high-tech giant, Teagarden also exposes executive students directly to the business dynamism, industrial depth and economic scope that is today's China through the overseas module and field seminar in China that are part of Thunderbird's Executive MBA program.
- Thunderbird Professor Roe Goddard is intimately familiar with China’s business landscape. Goddard, who has taught at several universities in China, is the author of multiple case studies on China’s economic reform process and the management of manufacturing enterprises in China, country risk analysis and currency/financial crises. A senior adviser to the Chengdu Investment Promotion Commission in Chengdu, Sichuan province, he is also actively engaged in research involving the valuation of the renminbi and Chinese financial-market liberalization.
India

- Kannan Ramaswamy — A native of India and naturalized U.S. citizen world-renowned for his expertise on global strategy in emerging markets, including India and South Asia (William D. Hacker Chair, Professor of Management in the Department of Global Business, Thunderbird).

Singapore
- Through the Thunderbird-ExxonMobil General Leadership Program, more than 3,000 ExxonMobil supervisors and managers have participated in weeklong customized oil and gas programs delivered throughout Singapore, the United States and France. Participants benefit from the expertise of Thunderbird faculty members, who have spoken the language of global energy executives for nearly 20 years, regularly delivering oil and gas programs on at least three continents.
- Cisco Systems Inc. turned to Thunderbird Executive Education and the Thunderbird Learning and Consulting Network to help develop a collaborative approach to new business generation. The resulting, custom, hands-on “Capture the Business” program aims to transform Cisco’s channel account managers into knowledgeable “executive directors” who guide and collaborate with worldwide partners to gain new business. To date, the program has been delivered to more than 300 channel account managers and their partners in Singapore, as well as in China, Latin America and Mexico.
South Korea
- For 20 years, managers and executives within SK Group — one of South Korea's top five industrial conglomerates — have taken advantage of Thunderbird’s custom programming and partnership programs. Thunderbird’s custom General Management Program is delivered to SK Group managers at the Glendale, Ariz., campus over the course of four months. SK senior executives also take advantage of Thunderbird’s International Consortia partnership programs that encourage collaboration among globally-focused companies.
- Thunderbird and KAIST Business School are partnering on the delivery of a six-module leadership development certificate program for South Korean senior managers and expatriates. Debuting in November 2009 and delivered by both KAIST and Thunderbird faculty on the KAIST campus, the program focuses on global leadership, global negotiations, global strategy and innovation in turbulent times.
- More than 100 LG Electronics executives are among Thunderbird’s diverse alumni population, having completed a custom corporate MBA designed by Thunderbird. The custom MBA provides general leadership and management skills while addressing challenges specific to the industry.
