Get Involved
Volunteers who work with Thunderbird for Good invariably discover the same thing: The rewards go both directions. “As a Peruvian, being part of the Salta internship was an eye-opening experience,” says Marcela Cubas, one of five Thunderbird MBA students who spent summer 2011 working in Peru with 120 micro-entrepreneurs. “This internship has given me a new perspective on the dynamics of Lima and the reality of how people live, struggle and conduct business in the most remote corners of this big city.” Indeed, the intent of Thunderbird for Good is to improve the lives of everyone involved — not just the designated students.
