Thunderbird School of Global Management will host its fifth annual Global Private Equity Investing Conference this month to help investors navigate this challenging economic environment.

The conference at Thunderbird’s Glendale, Ariz., campus March 26-27 will cover the potential threat of new regulations, the investment outlook, the impact on returns of global investing, the secondary market and opportunities in distressed debt, among other topics.

The event is expected to draw 250 institutional investors, general partners, limited partners, family offices, corporate investors, fund of funds managers, industry advisers, investment and commercial bankers, academics, students and global emerging growth companies. More than 30 speakers will make presentations at the conference, including Stanley P. Gold, director and president of Shamrock Holdings; Doug Lowenstein, president of the Private Equity Council; and Joseph Quinlan, chief market strategist of US Trust-Bank of America Private Wealth Management.

“Thunderbird’s fifth Annual Global Private Equity Investing Conference comes at a juncture when there has never been a more propitious time for private equity to contribute to global solutions,” says Susan Boedy, director of Thunderbird’s Global Private Equity Center.

The conference will feature an annual golf tournament at the Wildfire Golf Course at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge in Scottsdale. Registration for the annual golf scramble is open to all those who are interested in playing golf and looking to meeting global investment professionals, not just registered conference guests. The conference also will host an awards ceremony recognizing lifetime achievements in global private equity and venture capital.

The conference is sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank, GrupoFundamentum, Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, Green Alpha Advisors, Capital IQ, Fondinvest Partners, and Pacific Rim and India Multinational Corp.
