Thunderbird School of Global Management was named again by the Financial Times as one of the world’s leading providers of executive education, landing the No. 16 spot overall for Open Enrollment and Custom Programs combined.

Thunderbird’s Open Enrollment programs came in at No. 11 overall, No. 1 for its international presence and No. 3 for the quality of course design. The school ranks No. 24 overall for Custom Programs and No. 1 for the number of partner schools with whom it delivers those programs. In both Open Enrollment and Custom Programs, the school ranks No. 2 for the global diversity of its faculty.

“Thunderbird’s continued showing as one of the world’s leading providers of executive education is testament to our leadership in providing world-class programs and solutions that companies and executives need to succeed in today’s complex international marketplace,” said Thunderbird President Ángel Cabrera, PhD.

Thunderbird and its faculty are highly sought after by top global organizations and companies, including LG Electronics, Henkel KGaA, Petrobas, Cisco Systems, Novartis, Raytheon, Intel Corp. and McDonald’s.

Thunderbird’s custom offerings are degree and nondegree programs designed to meet specific global goals and challenges faced by top multinational companies. In 2008, 171 companies participated in Thunderbird’s Custom Programs. Of those, 121 companies have headquarters outside the United States, and participants in those programs represented 61 countries.

Thunderbird’s Open Enrollment programs are brief, nondegree certificate programs for executives and business professionals seeking specific or targeted global business skills. More than 2,800 people representing 43 countries participated in Open Enrollment programs in 2008.
