Thunderbird School of Global Management has appointed Dr. Dale Davison dean of faculty and Jay Bryant head of admissions. Davison will oversee faculty recruitment, hiring, contracts, performance and development.
Prior to being appointed as dean, Davison had served as interim dean since July 2007. Prior to that, he was academic director of the executive education degree programs, including the Executive MBA programs in Arizona and Europe. Davison joined Thunderbird in 1990 as a clinical professor of accounting after serving as a partner in Deloitte & Touche for 10 years.
“Dr. Dale Davison has served Thunderbird exceptionally well for many years as an outstanding professor and administrator, most recently as interim dean of faculty,” says Dr. Robert Widing, senior vice president of academic programs and provost. “We’re delighted Dale has agreed to this ongoing appointment as dean of faculty.”
Bryant, who will be responsible for admissions activities, received his MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird in 2004 and helped support the launch of the Global MBA On-Demand program. Most recently, he served as senior director of global recruiting. Bryant is replacing Judy Johnson, who served as associate vice president of admissions for 18 years before her retirement June 30.
