Beth Stoops began her career at Thunderbird in 1983 and is part of the faculty. She teaches in the Executive MBA programs internationally and in some of Thunderbird’s key custom programs for both domestic and multinational corporations.

Senior Vice President of Thunderbird Corporate Learning

As Senior Vice President of Thunderbird Corporate Learning Beth Stoops is responsible for the strategy, growth and profitability of Corporate Learning, including custom corporate degree programs and nondegree programs around the world.

She began her career at Thunderbird in 1983 and is part of the faculty. She teaches in the Executive MBA programs internationally and in some of Thunderbird’s key custom programs for both domestic and multinational corporations.

Stoops has more than 20 years of consulting and academic experience, focusing on Asia, especially Korea and Japan. She has developed and marketed custom language programs, cross-cultural and negotiation programs, and management communication programs for executives and MBA students around the world. In addition to her experience designing and directing numerous programs, she is an award-winning classroom educator, executive education administrator and a corporate consultant.

In the classroom, Professor Stoops is known for her enthusiasm and student-centered curriculum. She has earned multiple Thunderbird Outstanding Professor Awards and was one of 12 language professors to receive a perfect evaluation score from her students. Her extensive cross-cultural teaching experience results from having taught students and managers from more than 90 countries.

Stoops holds a master’s degree from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University. She also studied for a year at the University of Madrid in Spain.
