Campaign Thunderbird Goal Met!

Thanks to your support of Campaign Thunderbird, the $65 Million goal has been met!  We’d like to share with you some of the wonderful accomplishments we have achieved over the past five years as a result of your contributions:

• Thirty-one new scholarships were established by donors during Campaign Thunderbird. These scholarships provided full or partial tuition assistance to 112 students

• The Najafi Global Mindset® Institute was established and is centered on creating a positive impact in a world economy in dire need of global leadership, global talent and global knowledge. The focus of the Global Mindset Institute is to: Define, Measure, Develop today’s Global Mindset and its relationship with successful global leadership.

• The Walker Center for Global Entrepreneurship was established to advance global entrepreneurship through comprehensive, relevant education, training, research and programming in the areas of global entrepreneurship, global family enterprise, innovation and creativity, venture funding and emerging markets.

• The student-led Tower Restoration Project has revitalized the core of the campus and is attracting new friends and associates from all over the world. The ThunderShop and Thunderbird Pub are now open in the new Tower.

• Thunderbird for Good’s Project Artemis program led to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative, a program that supports partnerships between business education programs in the United States and Europe, and business schools in emerging economies. The curriculum for the business training program was developed by faculty at Thunderbird in collaboration with faculty at AUAF in Afghanistan. In addition to this expansion of Project Artemis, Thunderbird for Good also established programs in Peru (Proyecto Salta) and Jordan (SEEDS) to continue the Project Artemis legacy of providing business training in even the world’s most challenging environments.

The rapid spread of globalization has greatly increased the complexity of management decisions and has created a global economy in which the fortunes of individuals, businesses, and societies are inextricably linked. As the paradigm for global business evolves, the world desperately needs individuals who can navigate this complex global landscape and create sustainable value for their organizations, communities, and the world. Thunderbird, by virtue of its heritage, expertise, and entrepreneurial vision, is uniquely positioned to meet this growing need for global leaders who can manage the challenges of an increasingly inter-connected world.

Thank you for helping us to continue to educate global leaders who create sustainable prosperity worldwide!
