Created by alumni for alumni, the Thunderbird Alumni Network is represented by a board of alumni from diverse graduating years, locations, professions and nationalities. The Network connects you with:

  • An extended group of more than 38,000 like-minded professionals in every major city around the world who can enhance your career and career prospects
  • Fellow alumni working in more than 12,000 corporations, governments, NGOs and other enterprises in more than 146 countries
  • Opportunities to be recognized by your Thunderbird peers for social and professional achievements (see Alumni Awards Programs below)
  • 150 global alumni chapters worldwide to help you stay connected to your fellow graduates and your alma mater

Your Thunderbird Alumni Relations Office

The Alumni Relations Office is a campus-based service dedicated to providing you with a network of global connections for lifelong personal and professional growth. The office and its staff can:

  • Connect you with other alumni
  • Put you in touch with campus departments and resources
  • Act as your primary point-of-contact for questions, suggestions or requests
  • Serve as your on-campus advocate, bringing your needs and wishes to the school administration

Alumni Award Programs

Each year, Thunderbird recognizes its distinguished alumni with the following awards

  • Rising Star Award to a graduate who is fewer than 10 years out, but making great strides in his or her career
  • Career Achievement Award to a graduate who has excelled in his or her chosen career
  • Alumni Volunteer Award to a graduate who has given his or her time to support Thunderbird, including Chapter or Council leadership, speaking engagements, offering advice to students or other alumni, recruiting, fundraising or organizing events
  • Global Citizenship Award to a graduate who is dedicated to the creation of sustainable economic and social value worldwide
  • Alumni Chapter Leader to a graduate who demonstrates outstanding efforts in advancing the Thunderbird Alumni Network
  • Jonas Mayer Outstanding Alumnus Award to a Thunderbird graduate who demonstrates the ultimate in professional achievement, civic service and Thunderbird activity (this award is the highest honor that Thunderbird bestows on a T-bird)
