Thunderbird European Reunion and Global Business Dialogue

Global business leaders today face uncertain times, lacking financial confidence or clear political direction. The U.S. and Europe, traditional growth drivers, are mired in economic doldrums yet entrepreneurs on both sides of the Atlantic have technologies, innovations, and investment plans ready to spur our economies. More than ever, what is needed is for business to stimulate a new growth agenda, one that accelerates a core business dynamic as well as advances needed social and environmental values.

Building on the groundbreaking initiative of the Thunderbird School of Global Management's call for effective new business leadership, Beyond Uncertain Times: A Growth Agenda continues the dialogue with the focus on Europe, discussing such hot button issues as energy, innovation, the EU, and social corporate responsibility. Germany will be a natural center of attention as Europe's leading economic power. Our dialogue will seek to gain insights on how Germany has managed growth and maintained solid support for EU policies, while pursuing a social and environmental agenda.

Strong Trans-Atlantic ties are vital for sustained economic growth. Business leaders in the U.S. and Europe share common goals and challenges, but is there a convergence of views on the way forward?
