Thunderbird's Career Fair happens each October, during a week-long student Professional Development Week. We've created an ideal 3-day format for you to accomplish all your recruiting activities in one trip and maximize your time in Arizona. Hold a company presentation Wednesday, attend the career fair Thursday, and conduct your interviews on Friday. Visit our Career Fairs and Events page for more information, or contact us at careerfair@thunderbird.edu.
Thunderbird’s Career Fair is a one-day event held every fall during the annual Professional Development Week. Sponsor one of the professional workshops, presentations or networking events hosted by the Thunderbird Career Management Center (CMC) during Professional Development Week. Workshops feature the country's top functional trainers and are eagerly anticipated by the entire student body, while networking events and presentations allow you to interface with students and brand your organization at the same time. For a full list of opportunities, view our Professional Development Week Branding page.
Meet students on an informal basis as you present information about your company in a closed or open session. Spend 20 to 40 minutes sharing information about your organization, your industry and its culture, and positions that are typical entry points for Thunderbird MBAs. Follow it with a Q & A session and/or an informal reception. Arrange your campus visit in advance through one of our Employer Relations directors.
Tie in to any of the many career interest clubs on Thunderbird's campus. Organized by industry or functional area, these student clubs and associations are a great way to generate awareness for your company and connect with dynamic job candidates. Thunderbird has a wide variety of professional student clubs that are currently active on campus. Establish a strategic relationship with one of the clubs by contacting them directly, or call 602-978-7245 or e-mail employer.relations@thunderbird.edu.
Student TREKs are industry-focused field trips that take the top T-birds to visit companies in various geographic areas. TREKs enhance student understanding of a given industry, cultivate networking opportunities, and allow companies to showcase their products or services. Contact your account manager to see if a future TREK is planned for your city or industry.
Functional Days offer students an insider look into specific career fields. Attend the Functional Day that matches your interests and present information about the career tracks for that function in your organization. 2011 featured Functional Days in Finance, International Development, Human Resources/Organizational Development, Marketing and Consulting.
Every incoming student is required to attend career management classes during the first module of the academic year. The first ten minutes of each class are dedicated to profiling or "spotlighting" a selected company. If you are interested in sending a company representative or video presentation to feature your organization, contact Beth Rehman at beth.rehman@thunderbird.edu .
The CMC hosts Mock Interview Days for students to polish their professional interviewing skills. Employers are optimal teachers in this setting.
Gain exposure by making a classroom visit during the academic year (except during exam weeks). Thunderbird students and faculty welcome the information you have to share. The Thunderbird Employer Relations team can facilitate your visit or help you make a faculty connection so you can participate in a meaningful way.
Nationwide case competitions showcase our students' ability to solve real life business problems. Interested in access to faculty? Sponsoring T-birds in a case competition relevant to your target audience not only gives you access to the brightest students, but to the professors who advise them. Contact us to find out where T-birds will be competing next.
In addition to case competitions and Professional Development Week workshops, there are many ways to provide sponsorship and increase your visibility at Thunderbird. Provide scholarship opportunities through direct financial aid, sponsor campus events, or help finance professional student excursions such as TREKs and MBA conferences.
Event sponsorships include the Thunderbird Sustainable Innovation Summit and the Global Private Equity Investing Conference. See our Giving to Thunderbird page for additional ideas, including financial and in-kind contributions to the school.
