Thunderbird is proud to deliver our Executive MBA in Geneva in collaboration with The Graduate Institute. In a partnership which began in 2009, Thunderbird and the Institute will share a number of initiatives in Executive Education, leveraging the expertise across various public, private and NGO sectors.
The Graduate Institute has an illustrious history of intellectual research and worldwide leadership in the areas of international trade and integration, conflict and peace-building, migration and refugees, international environment issues, and international health policy. Each of these areas have implications across global business practices and international business development.
As part of the Thunderbird collaboration, The Graduate Institute hosts several modules of the Executive MBA-Europe each year at its Villa Barton campus on Lake Geneva. In addition, The Graduate Institute faculty lend expertise to key subject areas and deliver five courses in the Executive MBA program sequence.
As of Fall 2012, those five courses, which are already embedded in the EMBA curriculum, can qualify for an Executive Certificate in International Economic Relations.
In the collaboration, Executive MBA-Europe graduates earn the Thunderbird MBA in Global Management (same degree awarded to Executive MBA students in the USA), and become full members of the Thunderbird global alumni community. In addition, students who pursue the joint Executive Certificate will earn alumni status of the Graduate Institute.
The faculty who will contribute (teaching and/or support) to the Executive MBA experience annually include (but are not limited to):
The Institute brings a wealth of knowledge in many relevant fields for international managers, from Global Economics to Political Science to International Development and Humanitarian Affairs. As a legacy institution in Geneva, the Institute has strong ties with its alumni and thought leaders in major global organizations in Switzerland and beyond.
