Getting Started
Thunderbird’s Executive MBA application is online. Candidates can create an online account and complete the process in several stages. Selection works on a rolling admissions basis after admissions interviews, often conducted by phone for convenience. Applicants are notified of an admissions decision shortly after interviews are completed.

ADMISSIONS & SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2012

Candidates who are interested in Fall 2012 should create an application account immediately, which notifies us of their interest. For an initial consultation, candidates can also choose to email a CV to embaeurope@thunderbird.edu as they begin working on their application account.

Admissions interviews by phone or in person in Geneva will follow the submission of the online application. Those who are offered admission will have between four and six weeks to make their enrollment decision and program deposit.

We have posted information regarding several partial-tuition scholarships for Executive MBA students.

Applications received earlier will receive priority for scholarship consideration. See the Financial Aid page for scholarship criteria.

How to apply - timelines, online forms and interview schedules

You can begin the application by creating an account and uploading your CV as you begin to work on your essays. You submit the electronic application to the school once these components are completed.

The GMAT is NOT requried for admission to the Executive MBA. Rather, the school uses an interview process to assess candidates' career progress, leadership potential, and overall ability for success in the program. Each candidate will interview with three professors, which also allows the candidate to get to know the program and institution better during the admissions process.

After submitting the online application, and as supporting documents are finalized, qualified applicants will be invited to schedule their phone interviews with staff and faculty. Face-to-face interviews in Geneva are also encouraged and can be arranged on a request basis (see below). Candidates are typically notified of their admissions decision in writing soon after all interview evaluations have been reviewed by the admissions committee.

Rolling Admissions

The EMBA program will make admissions decisions as soon as candidates complete their application and conduct interviews.

Space is limited in the Executive MBA-EU program; therefore, candidates are encouraged to begin the application right away and reach out to Thunderbird staff in Geneva to keep us informed of your interest and progress.

FINAL DEADLINE FOR FALL 2012: June 30, 2012
Following June 30, applications are accepted on a space-available basis. Thunderbird is hosting Executive MBA Visit Days in Geneva with the current cohort--and invites final candidates for their admissions interviews during the first week in July.
